How to operate the transformer neutral point earthing switch?
The switching principle is to ensure that the power grid does not lose its grounding point, and the operation method of closing first and then pulling is adopted:
a) Close the isolating switch of the backup grounding point.
b) Open the isolating switch of the working ground point.
c) Switch the zero sequence protection to the transformer with the neutral point grounded.
Why does the neutral point grounding switch of the transformer adopt the method of "first closing and then breaking"?
Answer: Because the circuit breaker on the high-voltage side of the main transformer is generally operated in separate phases. When opening and closing the circuit breaker in separate-phase operation, it is easy for the three phases to fail to close or open, which may cause zero-sequence overvoltage on the high-voltage side. , after being transmitted to the low-voltage side, it is easy to cause insulation damage to the low-voltage winding. If the grounding isolating switch is closed before operation, it can effectively limit the overvoltage and protect the insulation.
It is believed that "make first and then break" refers to the first make and then break protection, that is, if the main transformer neutral point switch is turned off, the gap protection is turned on first, and then the neutral point is turned on and then the zero sequence protection is turned off; conversely, if To close the neutral point switch of the main transformer, the zero sequence protection of the main transformer must be turned on first, and then the gap protection must be turned off after turning on the neutral point. Anyway. This is to prevent the busbar where the main transformer is located from losing grounding protection.
